The head of the Sadrist bloc, Hassan al-Athari, announced Sunday, that a bill criminalizing normalization with Israel will be presented in the first session of Parliament.
Al-Athari said in a press conference held today in the parliament building and attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Sadrist bloc decided, with the blocs allied with it, to submit a proposed law to criminalize normalization with the Zionist entity."
He added, "This proposal criminalizes normalization with Israel or establishing any kind of relations," noting that "the law includes 10 paragraphs and will be presented at the first session of the Parliament where it will be referred to the relevant committees for reading and voting."
