Imam Ali holy shrine forms an operations room in memory of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine announced Thursday the formation of an operations room on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), while the Najaf Police Command indicated that the security plan has entered into force.

Salim al-Jasani, a member of the shrine's board of directors, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The shrine administration formed a special operations room on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), as it included all department heads with the participation of technical cadres in it," noting that "the plan will be divided into several  services Which is receiving visitors and providing them with various services, as well as distributing meals for Iftar and suhoor, and then leaving after the completion of the visit’s ceremonies that include breaks.”

Regarding the doctrinal aspect, Al-Jassani explained, "There will be religious lectures that talk about the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), as well as periods of supplications."


 For his part, the spokesman for the provincial police command, Lt. Col. Miqdad Al-Moussawi, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the security plan for the protection of visitors on the anniversary of martyrdom has entered into force after its completion by distributing the city to several security areas," noting that "the plan was participated in by all the units in the governorate which will take upon themselves to provide the necessary protection for all activities and ceremonies that will be practiced near the holy shrine.”


 On the nights of the twentieth and twenty-first of Ramadan, Muslims flock to the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf to commemorate his martyrdom.
