Parliamentary Finance committee submits proposals to support the draft food security law

     The Parliament’s Finance Committee submitted today, Monday, proposals to support the draft law on emergency support for food security and development.

    The media department of the council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Finance Committee headed by Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi and the presence of its members held today, Monday, its meeting to complete the discussion of the emergency support law for food security and development, address some of the texts contained in it and reach the final version that will be submitted to Council for a vote.

    The committee indicated, according to the statement, "the need to put the final formulations of the items of the law, proposing to strengthen the law by emphasizing the payment of the petrodollars' dues to the oil-producing governorates and increasing the allocation of the necessary amounts for social welfare, while continuing to spend it in  specified places."

    In the rest of the proposals,  emphasized "the promotion of job opportunities programs, the follow-up  of projects and the ration card file, in addition to supporting the files of energy purchase, gas dues, farmers, and the agricultural and industrial sectors."
