The First Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, condoled the Islamic world, the Iraqis, and the honorable family of Al-Sadr, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the contemporary philosopher, Sayyid Mohammad Baqir Al-Sadr, and his sister, Amina Bint Al-Huda, on the hands of the tyrannical Baathist groups.

Al-Zamili said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We offer our condolences to the Islamic nation and the Iraqi people on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the philosopher and thinker of the era, the martyr Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr and his sister Amina bint al-Huda, (may Allah Almighty have his mercy on them both), which coincided with the anniversary of the demise of the rule of tyranny and tyranny represented by the Saddamist Baath groups. "

Al-Zamili added that "Iraq today is in dire need of following in the footsteps of leaders, symbols who sacrificed themselves to uphold the word of God and to defend religion, faith and the homeland, such as the Eminence of the First Martyr Al-Sadr who gave his life as a price for the freedom and dignity of his people."

He continued: "As we painfully remember the memory of his martyrdom, we must recall all his political, economic and social theories, the meanings of self-goodness, heroic stances, and lessons in the face of tyranny, which became a beacon to all the martyrs of Iraq who stood in the face of the Saddamist tyrant."

He pointed out that "The least that Iraqis offer today for the sacrifices of its symbols and leaders is to follow their path by rejecting all kinds of dependence on others, defending the dignity of their country, striving for its elevation, transcendence and progress among the countries of the world, and benefiting from this human, scientific treasure to bring about real change and reform in the reality we live in today, and to contribute seriously building the country and getting rid of corruption and corrupts.”
