(53) IDPs returned to Salah al-Din

The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Friday, the return of 53 displaced people to their areas of origin in Salah al-Din Governorate.

A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Minister of Immigration, Othman Al-Ghanimi, called to continue supporting the displaced and following up on their needs and requests even after they return to their original areas of residence.".

The statement added, "Al-Ghanimi supervised the return of (14) families consisting of (53) displaced people from Ashti camp in Sulaymaniyah governorate to Yathrib district in Salah al-Din governorate, in coordination with the immigration branch there.

The statement indicated that "it is hoped that the return of the displaced will continue voluntarily according to a plan prepared for this purpose, after completing the procedures related to their return."
