The Ministry of Migration and Displacement (MoMD) announced Saturday, the voluntary return of (162) displaced people from the camps of Kurdistan region to their areas of origin in Nineveh.
MoMD said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "According to the directions of the Minister of the Interior and the Acting Minister of Migration and Displacement, Othman Al-Ghanimi, (162) IDPs have returned from the camps of Kurdistan region, the Khazer and Hassan Sham camp, east of Mosul, to their original areas of residence in the governorate of Nineveh".
"The cadres of the Ministry have returned a new batch of displaced people, consisting of 34 families, from al-Khazar axis and Hassan Sham camp to their areas in (Al-Intisar Neighborhood, Tal Al-Rumman, Al-Haramat, Ragim Hadid, Al-Obour, Tal Afar, Bashiqa, Al-Nahrawan, Al-Bakr Neighborhood, Al-Karama,Al-Shura area and new Mosul)”, MoMD added.
The statement pointed out, "The displaced people returned after completing the security check for them in coordination with the security forces and local governments, and they were delivered to their original areas of residence with all their belongings."
