Military Intelligence announced Monday the arrest of a drug dealer in Anbar.
A statement by the Security Media Cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "in separate operations carried out based on accurate intelligence information of the intelligence people of the first - fifth - tenth - twentieth divisions, and in cooperation with forces from the Ground Forces Command in the Anbar Operations Commands, Diyala, Al Jazeera and western Nineveh resulted in the arrest of a drug dealer in Ramadi, and he was handed over to the concerned authorities in accordance with the provisions of Article 32 of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law.
The statement explained that "the intelligence detachments and the supporting forces managed to seize 2 explosive belts, 2 mortars of different sizes, 1104 different ammunition launches, as well as 37 explosive devices, 26 different grenades, 20 rockets, 16 different projectiles, in addition to 16 different bombs, and 7 detonators,” stressing that “all of them are remnants of the terrorist Daesh.”
It continued, "The engineering detachments accompanying the forces lifted the materials and detonated them on site."
