The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has expressed concern over the news that Meta has allowed on its platforms calls for violence against the Russian military due to the military operation in Ukraine .

UNHCR spokeswoman Elizabeth Trussell told a news briefing in Geneva on Friday that UNHCR would "raise the matter" with the company .

"This is a very complex issue, but it raises some concerns with regard to international human rights and humanitarian law, " she added.

According to her, the "lack of clarity" about the company's policies remains a "concern ."
