A security delegation headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, arrived in Tuz Khurmatu district.
The Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The deputy commander of the joint operations arrived in Tuz Khurmatu district, accompanied by the commander of Rapid Response Team and the operations director of the popular mobilization forces to inspect the forces deployed at the controlling headquarters in Tuz Khurmatu district."
The statement added that "Al-Shammari held a meeting, upon his arrival, with the commander of the operations of the advanced headquarters of Kirkuk and the mayor of Tuz district," as he directed them to follow up the intelligence effort and pursue the sleeper cells in this sector."
