A security delegation headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived today, Monday, in Sinjar district.
The Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "A security delegation headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, and the Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Qassem Al-Muhammadi, arrived in Sinjar to oversee the security situation and discuss ways to solve the problems of IDPs and facilitating the obstacles for peaceful coexistence among the components of society.”
"Upon its arrival, the delegation met with the Governor of Nineveh, UN Representative in Iraq, the Ministry of Migration and Displaced Persons and a number of governmental organizations," JOC added.
