The Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf announced that the Iraqi embassy in Kyiv is working to evacuate 30 Iraqi families stuck in Sumy.

Al-Sahaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "our embassy in Kyiv is working exceptionally, and has succeeded in evacuating 500 people from the Iraqi community from Ukraine so far," noting that "the embassy is working in high coordination to evacuate 30 Iraqi families stuck in the Sumy region in difficult circumstances." .

He added, "The embassy has granted 25 passports so far to those who lost their passports in Ukraine, in addition to granting dozens of entry visas to Ukrainian women with their children to Iraqi fathers."
