Bolivian delegate: West bears part of responsibility for conflict in Ukraine

Diego Barry, Bolivia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, said NATO is threatening the security of other countries and therefore Western countries are part of the responsibility for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
 
On Tuesday, the newspaper “Página Siete” quoted a statement made by Barry during a special tour of the United Nations General Assembly: “Western countries, through NATO, are solely responsible for the conflict witnessed by all humanity, putting the safety and security of other countries at risk, and these Western countries’ expansionist They use intermediaries that support their ambitions and threaten the security of their neighbors.
 
“Today we are witnessing with amazement the double standards of many great countries that seek peace on the one hand and provoke conflict on the other,” he said.
 
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine to “protect the people who have been subjected to humiliation and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.”
 
Western countries responded to Moscow’s move by imposing unprecedented economic sanctions on Russia.
