British citizen Mark Palette found an old coin (shilling) in a field, the current value of which is ten thousand pounds
The Daily Mail reports that Mark Palette discovered this ancient shilling, also called Crispus, dating back to the sixth century AD, in a field near the village of Haslingfield using a metal detector.
These coins were minted similar to Roman coins dating back to the fourth century AD. The ancient coin will be auctioned on March 8, and the proceeds will be divided equally between Mark Palette and the owner of the land where the rare coin was found.
