Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Ukrainian army to “take over the power “in Kiev, while describing the extremist nationalists in Ukraine as terrorists, noting that they are installing Grad rocket launchers inside the cities of Kiev and Kharkov.
He said in a speech prior to the meeting of the Russian Security Council: "The main goal of the Russian forces is not to clash with the Ukrainian forces, but to prevent the extremist Nazi groups, which bear the responsibility for the extermination of the population in the Donbas and the shedding of the blood of innocent citizens of the people's republics."
