Russia sets a condition for dialogue with Ukraine

The Russian government set a condition for dialogue with Ukraine, a day after the start of the war and the entry of Russian forces into Ukraine.

"Moscow is ready for dialogue when the Ukrainian army stops fighting, and no one plans to attack the Ukrainian people," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

He added, "The hope from talks with NATO was there for the last moment, and security guarantees were supposed to be signed," noting that "the implementation of the Russian operation is taking place so that Ukrainians liberated from persecution can freely decide their future."
