NATO: We will respond firmly to the Russian escalation

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) condemned today, Thursday, in the strongest terms against the backdrop of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The alliance called, in statements followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "to Russia to withdraw its forces from Ukraine immediately," noting that "it will not leave the allies and are committed to defending them."

He added, "We will respond firmly to the Russian escalation," noting that "there will be many costs to Russia because of the invasion of Ukraine."

"We will not accept the violent violation of international law," NATO said, denouncing "in the strongest terms the Russian invasion of Ukraine."

He stated that "a new danger threatens security, and we are coordinating with the members to confront the Russian plans."
