Al-Halbousi and Ghobash stress the importance of increasing cooperation in all fields

Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al- Halbousi stressed, today, Thursday, the importance of increasing cooperation in all fields, with the President of the Arab Parliamentary Union and the President of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash.

The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi and the accompanying delegation, met the President of the Arab Parliamentary Union and the President of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, on the sidelines of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union.".

He added that "at the beginning of the meeting, Al-Halbousi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Ghobash for his efforts and his role in the presidency of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, stressing his rejection of the attacks against the United Arab Emirates, as well as the need to strive to solve the problems of the region and achieve comprehensive Arab and regional stability and security." .

"The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing the importance of increasing cooperation in all fields," he added.

For his part, Ghobash stressed, according to the statement, that "the position of the United Arab Emirates towards Iraq is a firm and firm position with its support to overcome difficulties and achieve development and stability."
