SMC: We reached an advanced stage to obtain the latest global weapons

The head of the Security Media Cell - SMC, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, confirmed on Tuesday that "there is great interest from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, to build the capabilities and arm the security forces and reach an advanced stage to obtain the latest weapons in the world."

"The fatwa of the wise supreme religious authority in June 2014 had a great impact on the security forces and a fundamental impact that led to the liberation of the land from the most brutal terrorist gangs," said Al-Khafaji in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "With the blood of the martyrs of Iraq, stability was created and thanks to their pure blood, Iraq is developing in reconstruction and progress."

"The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces shows great interest in developing and equipping the security forces in terms of training and preparation," he added, explaining that "the security forces have reached an advanced stage to obtain the latest weapons in the world."

Al-Khafaji pointed out that "advanced armies must always have high capabilities and armament to prevent the enemy from approaching the state."
