MOD: Foiling two terrorists in Kirkuk

Ministry of Defense – MOD announced on Wednesday, upon foiling two terrorist elements in Kirkuk.
 
"Under the supervision of Kirkuk Operations Command, the advanced headquarters, the detachments of the Kirkuk Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security were able to foil two elements belonging to Daesh terrorist gangs, while they were in the Daquq district center and Riyadh sub-district, Kirkuk governorate,” stated the ministry in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement added, "After preliminary investigations, they admitted that they had collected information about the whereabouts and movements of the security forces in Kirkuk province and provided them to terrorist gangs,"
 
The operation took place according to accurate intelligence information and in coordination with the Storming Force of Kirkuk Police Chief and the National Security Directorate in the province, included the statement.
