Army thwarts Daesh attack in Kirkuk

The Popular Mobilization Authority announced the support of its forces to the army units that thwarted an Daesh terrorist attack in Kirkuk. 

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the body stated that "a force from the Popular Mobilization / North Axis supported the army units that were subjected to a terrorist attack by an "Daesh" in Kirkuk governorate." 

She added, "A group of Daesh terrorist remnants attacked Iraqi army points on the outskirts of Dibs district, before a force from the Popular Mobilization came out to support the army units and force Daesh to flee unsuccessfully."
