35 outlaws arrested in Maysan

    The Maysan Governorate Police Directorate announced Tuesday the arrest of 35 outlaws in the governorate.
     
    A statement by the Directorate, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "its detachments from the departments' directorates and emergency regiments throughout the responsibility sectors carried out, in conjunction with a force from the Special Forces Brigade, the Rapid Intervention Command, the intelligence services detachments and the Traffic Directorate, extensive security practices during the past 24 hours, targeting many wanted outlaws."
     
    The statement added that "the outcome of these practices was the arrest of (35) outlaws according to various legal articles, the most prominent of which were accused of the crimes of terrorism, threats, attempt and premeditated harm, noting that "all the accused were transferred to the security investigation centers to complete the legal procedures."

    The statement explained that "the practices came within the framework of intensifying security efforts to work under the directives of the Minister of Interior and the instructions of the provincial police chief, Nasser Latif al-Asadi, in the application of arrest warrants, especially criminal ones, law enforcement and imposing the sovereignty of the state."
