The German government called on Thursday, for accelerating progress in the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file .
After meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, German Foreign Minister Annalena Birbock said that "urgent progress" is needed in talks aimed at reviving the nuclear deal with Iran.
Birbock indicated that "the window for finding a solution is about to close," adding: "The negotiations are at a critical stage. We need very urgent progress, otherwise we will not succeed in reaching a joint agreement.".
US President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that "the time has not yet come to abandon" negotiations with Iran aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal.
