PM Al-Kadhimi: To increase Najaf share of fuel

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi agreed on Wednesday, to increase the share of Najaf from fuel.
 
"We emphasize the speedy identification of the landmarks of the old municipality in Najaf, and attention must be paid to other archaeological areas in the province. Being part of Najaf's historical identity, it is the city of science, scholars and honorable references,” the media office of the Prime Minister conveyed the most important thing that Al-Kadhimi spoke during his extended meeting with the service departments in Najaf Governorate, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement added, "We have directed to set up an appropriate mechanism for urban renewal in Najaf and the Old City, whose implementation has been suspended since 2010, and to expedite the selection of a global consulting company to audit data and studies, and make recommendations on them, provided that the Central Bank provides the amounts allocated for implementation, and the formation of a committee consisting of the Minister of Construction, Housing and Municipalities, and a number of advisors, to develop a mechanism for implementation.
 
“There is a necessity of benefiting from the successful experiences of countries in the field of urban development, as billions were spent and the aspirations of citizens were not achieved, and everyone should learn how to provide the best service to the citizen," the statement included.
