SMC: Attempt to target Iraqi security forces convoy foiled in Babylon

The Security Media Cell announced Tuesday that it has foiled an attempt to target an Iraqi security forces convoy in Babylon province.
 
"Through continuous follow-up and intensified field efforts, the security forces were able to dismantle an explosive device on the international highway near bridge (6) in the Nile area of Babylon province within the Babylon Police Directorate," the Cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"The device was intended to target one of the convoys of the Iraqi security forces," the Cell said.
