The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) announced on Sunday, several names for the post of president.
"The candidate of the Sunni blocs for the presidency of the parliament is Mohammed al-Halbousi," PUK member Dylan Ghafoor told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), adding that "We're waiting for the session to vote."
"The PUK has not yet decided whether to vote on the presidency of the council," she said, adding that “PUK is compatible with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and there was a joint committee that has made numerous visits to Baghdad, but things have not yet been resolved."
"The PUK is insisting on the presidency," she said, adding that "there are several names that exist, but no specific name has been specified so far."
