Man City announces Guardiola infection with the Covid-19

The English football club Manchester City announced on today Thursday, injuring Spanish coach Pep Guardiola Corona virus, while subject to 21 players and staff in quarantine for reasons of Covid-19 as well.

"The City coach registered a positive test on Tuesday along with his assistant Juanma Lillo, and they are both subject to quarantine, along with a number of other positive cases within the first-team bubble," City said in a statement.

Thus, Guardiola will miss his team's match in the third round of the FA Cup against Swindon Town in the fourth division, while the match is still scheduled, despite the absence of seven players in the first team and 14 employees of City.

The other technical assistant will take over Rodolfo Borrell in the absence of Guardiola, who joined a list of coaches who were infected with the virus, such as Steven Gerrard (Aston Villa), Spaniard Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), German Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) and Sean Dyck (Burnley).
