Iraq warns from repercussions of corruption and urges world to confront its danger

    The head of the Integrity Commission, Alaa Jawad Al-Saadi, warned of the repercussions of corruption, while urging the world to confront its danger. 

     

    The authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq participated in the ninth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Agreement against Corruption, held in Sharm el-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt". 

     

    The head of the delegation and the head of the Integrity Commission, Alaa Jawad Al-Saadi, stressed in his speech at the conference, "Iraq's steps that fall within the responding to the requirements of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and among those achievements was the approval by the Council of Ministers of the National Strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption for the three years (2021-2024) after it had been prepared Its articles and clauses were drafted by the Integrity Commission, representing Iraq in this agreement, in cooperation with the competent national authorities and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
