A government initiative to rehabilitate the marshes 

The National Investment Commission announced a movement to grant investment opportunities to solid companies in order to revive the marsh areas. 

A statement by the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the head of the authority, Suha Daoud Najjar, chaired a meeting that included the Director-General of the Marsh and Wetlands Revitalization Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, Hussein Ali Hussein, and his accompanying delegation." 

Najjar stressed, "The authority is keen on reviving the marshlands for tourism by offering investment opportunities to solid companies working to revive these areas." 

The statement added, "The meeting discussed the possibility of establishing investment projects in the marsh areas, with the aim of reviving tourism in those areas."
