Karkh Criminal Court issued today, Thursday, a death sentence against the fugitive (Rafee Mashhin Abbas al-Jumaili), who served as the emir (leader) of the terrorist gangs in Karma district.
A statement of the Supreme Judicial Council received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The criminal fugitive was sentenced to death for the crimes of belonging to ISIS terrorist gangs, destabilizing security and stability inside the country to achieve terrorist goals in Anbar Governorate in 2019, and the crime of inciting against the constitutional authorities, as well as his involvement in the murders of civilians and targeting of security forces during the presence of ISIS terrorist gangs in Fallujah and Karma. "
The statement added, "The penalty comes in accordance with the provisions of Article 4/1 and in the context of Article 2/3 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005."
And the statement continued, "number of arrest warrants were issued against the aforementioned terrorist by Karkh Investigation Court , which is specialized in terrorism cases, earlier, after he appeared in a video on a number of social media and media sites, inciting against the constitutional authorities and threatening the security forces with death."
