Babil Criminal Court issued today, Thursday, two death sentences against two drug dealers, while it revealed the seizure of large quantities of Crystal methamphetamine in their possession.
The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Babil Criminal Court issued two death sentences against two drug-traffickers," noting that "the criminals were arrested after a security operation in three governorates under judicial supervision that resulted in the seizure of 12 kilograms of Crystal methamphetamine drug in their possession.”
The statement continued, "The ruling comes in accordance with the provisions of Article 27/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
