Iraqi and foreign passengers were arrested in possession of narcotic pills at the Zarbatia border crossing, the Border Crossing Authority said Sunday.
"By following up and checking all goods and passengers arriving in the country, they were able to arrest an Iraqi and another foreign passengers in possession of 400 narcotic pills that they tried to smuggle into the country," the authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The seizure was carried out through the coordination of work and the exchange of information with the joint detachment of the port centre, the customs police and the K9 detachment," the statement said.
