The Security Media Cell announced today, Monday, the arrest of 13 infiltrators from Syria, heading west of Nineveh.
A statement by the cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The group was ambushed and arrested when they crossed the Iraqi borders," noting that "their number is 13 persons with Iraqi citizenship, and they had illegally left Iraqi territory towards Syria during the past years."
The statement continued, "They were handed over to the concerned authorities after completing the initial investigation with them for the purpose of taking the necessary measures against them."
