JOC Lists results of the Security Operation in Kirkuk

    The Joint Operations Command listed on Friday the results of the security operation in Kirkuk.
     
    A statement by the Security Media Cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the reconnaissance battalions attached to the advanced headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in Kirkuk continue to purify and search the area between Sammak and Abu Fashka, where three double expolsive devices were found." In addition to a ready-to-explode missile, five double bombs, and a vehicle prepared for detonation, containing high explosive materials.”
     
    The statement added that "the same force also found three dens containing booby-trapped devices, important papers, electric generators and two tunnels."

    The statement continued, "The engineering effort of the advanced headquarters was able to open a 300-meter-long road and find another den containing administrative and logistical materials and weapons equipment, pointing out that" another pickup truck carrying a booby-trapped motorcycle was also found.
     
    It pointed out that "the reconnaissance brigades also found launchers and spG9 missiles as well as 120 mm mortar bombs in the sector of the Third Division of the Federal Police, noting that "the seized materials were dealt with and detonated locally."
