Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi stressed on Monday providing facilities for Swedish companies to operate inside Iraq.
"Al-Kadhimi received Swedish Foreign Minister Anne Linde and her delegation," his press office said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.

"The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the development of joint cooperation between Baghdad and Stockholm, as well as the discussion of Iraq's regional and international role, the follow-up to the decisions of the Baghdad Conference on Cooperation and Partnership, and how to proceed with its implementation," he said.
"The meeting also saw the discussion of the file of terrorist crimes committed by ISIS gangs inside Iraq, and the emphasis on holding the perpetrators accountable, as well as supporting liberated areas," he said. "

"Cooperation between Iraq, Sweden and the European Union must be developed, particularly in the security field and the war against ISIS terrorist gangs, as well as in the field of investment and providing facilities for the work of Swedish companies inside Iraq," al-Kadhimi said.

"The Swedish government's greetings to the prime minister," the Swedish foreign minister said, praising "the regional role of the Iraqi government in promoting the stability of the region by pursuing dialogue and calm."

"Her country looks forward to further bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Sweden in various fields and at the highest level," Linde said.
