The media office of the Olympic Committee stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the AFC said that He unanimously agreed that Iraq would host the Asian Cup for Arch and Arrow. 

Saad Al-Mashhadani, head of the Iraqi Federation of Arch and Arrow, member of the Executive Office of the AFC in the game, said that "this decision is a stepping stone to Iraq's return to organizing international, continental and Arab championships," stressing that "he will work to hold meetings with local sports leaders to prepare things that will contribute to the success of the forum.".
