The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced today, Saturday, the launch of a security operation in the separating areas with the Peshmerga in Nineveh Governorate, to track down the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs.
SMC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The security units in the Nineveh Operations Command and the Sixth Axis Forces of the Peshmerga have started a security operation with the air support of the army, the air force and the International Coalition Aviation, in Nineveh Governorate."
The statement added that "The security Ops included searching the areas of the Upper and Lower Kashaf, to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, in the areas between the Peshmerga forces and the federal forces."
