Al-Azhar Al-Sharif condemned on Wednesday, in the strongest terms, the terrorist attack that took place on Tuesday, in Muqdadiya.
The Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, stressed in an official statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "shedding the blood of innocent people is a treacherous terrorism that contradicts the values of religions and humanity, which requires concerted international efforts to confront terrorist organizations," stressing "his solidarity with Iraq, its leadership and people in the face of this brutal terrorism, praying to God - the Almighty - to protect Iraq, and to spare its people from all harm and evil,”
Al-Tayeb offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, “praying to the Almighty God to bless the victims with his mercy and forgiveness, to grant their families patience and solace, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery,”
