Border-Crossing Committee: Closing dates of land and air ports during elections

Border-Crossing Authority revealed on Saturday, the closing dates for land ports and airports, during the general voting process, on Sunday.

“It was decided to close the border crossings at 21:00 (9:00 pm) in the evening of the current October 9th, provided that they open at 6:00 am on the current October 11th," said the head of the Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He added that "the airports (Baghdad, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Najaf and Basra) will also be closed within the same timetable،"
