The Ministry of Health explained on Wednesday the reasons for the decline in infections with The Corona Virus, while referring to the mechanism of operation of hospitals and their staff on polling day.
"The increase in vaccines and the number of outlets, as well as the continuation of field campaigns in the streets and popular neighborhoods, within government and non-governmental institutions, have led to an increase in vaccination rates among citizens and thus the relative containment of infections in The Corona Virus," ministry spokesman Saif al-Badr told The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Millions of doses of vaccine will arrive before the end of this year," he said, adding that "a shipment from Kovacs will reach about 2.5 million doses, and other shipments will arrive in turn, in addition to the government's continued direct contracting with the vaccine manufacturers , especially since they have all proven effective in achieving prevention rates of more than 90 percent, and if the vaccinated person is infected with Corona, his infection is mild and does not need to be admitted to a hospital and thus relieve the pressure on health institutions."
"There are fears of a fourth wave through genetic mutations, and to reduce the risk of these possibilities, people must commit to prevention and social distancing, as well as to take the vaccine," he said.
"Hospitals continue to provide their services on polling day and deal with emergencies," al-Badr said, adding that "ambulances will be deployed according to a plan whose details will be announced in the coming hours."
The Ministry of Health and Environment announced Tuesday the preparation of an integrated health plan to support Election Day, confirming the continuation of all health services on polling day, while noting that it has drawn up a plan to deploy ambulances in specific places to deal with any emergency.
