
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahiya Rasoul, today, Tuesday announced the arrest of 9 terrorists in five governorates.
Rasoul said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the anti-terrorist service carried out proactive security operations to pursue the remnants of Daesh terrorist gangs in the provinces of Anbar, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Baghdad and Kirkuk."
The statement indicated that "the Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the Asayish of the Kurdistan Region in the Erbil Governorate, arrested a terrorist element belonging to the Daesh gangs, and captured another terrorist with a separate operation.
