The High Security Committee for elections embarked on Sunday, the second field training exercise of securing the electoral process and conducting field and realistic examination of all polling stations in Baghdad and the provinces.
"The High Security Committee for Elections, headed by General Abdul Amir Kamel al-Shammari, embarked on the actual field training exercise of securing the electoral process and conducting field and realistic examination of all polling stations in Baghdad and the provinces," the committee said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The committee added that "The exercise was carried out in the presence of all members of the field, intelligence, administrative and media committees and many liaison officers in Baghdad and the provinces.”
"The aim of the exercise is to determine the readiness of the security forces of all kinds to provide electoral security for the electoral process scheduled for October 10," the committee said.
