The Ministry of Health announced today, Tuesday, the success of its plan for Arbaeen Pilgrimage, indicating that no serious health cases were recorded during the visit.
The Director of Public Health at MOH, Riyad Abdul Amir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The health plan that was developed for the safety of the pilgrims was successful, as we did not have any serious health cases," noting that "the plan included many facilities and included the deployment of ambulances, along the pilgrims' path to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in addition to treatment teams in the Husseini processions that provide health services to the pilgrims.
Abdul Amir added that "There are monitoring teams over the safety of food and water provided to the pilgrims, ," noting that "there are efforts by Karbala Health Department and its health teams, hospitals and centers, where thousands of patients are treated in health detachments scattered in all sites, This calls for pride and thanks to Karbala Health Department and the supporting health departments, especially the health departments in the southern and northern governorates, which exerted their utmost efforts to take care of the pilgrims .
