Drug Dealing Gang Arrested in Dhi Qar

The Security Media Cell announced today, Thursday the arrest of a criminal gang with narcotics drugs in Dhi Qar.

"The security forces in Dhi Qar province were able to arrest a criminal gang, as one of its members opened fire at the security forces, noting that "he was arrested with narcotics drugs", said SMC in a statement , received by The Iraqi News Agency(INA).

SMC continued “Meanwhile, another member of this gang attempted to throw a grenade that exploded at him while it was thrown, while the rest of the gang members were chased and trapped inside one of the abandoned buildings ,as all of them were arrested," noting that "the necessary legal measures were taken against them."

"The security forces are continuing to combat crime and prevent anyone who may be tempted to tamper with security, as there is no tolerance with any attempt to destabilize security and stability in all the regions of the country," SMC confirmed.
