General Traffic Directorate revealed the current position regarding the application of the Iraqi specification decision on imported vehicles, which was scheduled to be implemented in early September.
"The decision related to antique and automatic cars was lifted after a simple modification, and it will be approved in the coming days and will enter into force," said the Director of Public Traffic, Major General Tariq Ismail, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He explained on how to deal with cars entering Iraq in violation of the decision, saying that "they will be dealt with in accordance with the traffic law, which works to register all cars entering Iraq,"
Earlier, the Ministry of Planning revealed, on the 30th, last June, the details of the Iraqi specification decision to be applied in the process of importing cars.
