Basra province confirmed on Sunday, the continued entry of goods is scheduled by the Ministry of Agriculture through the border crossing of Shalamaja, indicating that the decision to open the port to Iranian pilgrims is temporary until the end of the Arbaeen.
"The Shalamaja border crossing was opened to pilgrims several days ago, with goods continuing to enter through it and according to the schedule set by the Ministry of Agriculture," deputy of Basra governor Saleh al-Hassan, for administrative affairs, told the Iraqi News Agency.
Earlier, the border crossings committee announced that the entry of Iranian pilgrims stranded between Iraqi and Iranian borders was facilitated in accordance with the orders of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
