Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi today, Sunday, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart, Mazin Al-Faraya, means to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields.
The official Jordanian news agency,(Petra), said that "Jordanian Interior Minister Mazin Al-Faraya received at the ministry building his Iraqi counterpart Othman Al-Ghanimi and the accompanying delegation, pointing out that "Al-Faraya confirmed that the Jordanian-Iraqi relations have gone beyond the existing inter-state relations, to more advanced, open and developed prospects." at the official and popular levels
The two sides discussed, during the meeting, means to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of combating terrorism, extremism, border security, combating smuggling and human trafficking, exchanging information, developing trade exchanges through the Karameh border crossing (Trebil) and investment, and vitalizing the tourism. Facilitating residency and visa procedures, in addition to some matters related to Iraqi students and the community in Amman.
