Babylon Police Command announced on Sunday, the implementation of its security plan to secure the Arbaeen pilgrimage, indicating that more than 18,000 security personnel participated in it.
" Babylon Police Command has begun implementing its security plan to protect pilgrims heading to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of imam Hussein rituals," Brig. Gen. Adel Al-Husseini, head of relations and media office at the command, said to The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"More than 18,000 security personnel were involved in the implementation of the security plan and from all types of security services operating in the province, in addition to the participation of the Ali al-Akbar Brigade of the Popular Mobilization in protecting the northern Babylon area," he said.
"The plan relied on the intelligence side, after the proactive operations were completed," Al- Husseini said.
