21 infiltrators arrested near the border with Syria

The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Sunday, the arrest of 21 infiltrators near the border with Syria.

A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "A joint force from the 1^st Regiment of the 71^st Brigade at the 15^th Division and the Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigations (AIFI) at the Ministry of Interior were able to arrest 21 infiltrators near the Syrian border."

SMC added, "The operation resulted in finding of 6 AK-47 rifles and 5,000 detonator ."

The statement indicated that "Duly legal measures were taken against the arrestees, and the seized materials were dealt with according to the used contexts."
