The Border Guard Command announced, on Tuesday the launch of a new three - pronged security operation on the border strip with Syria.
According to the correspondent of The Iraqi News Agency (INA), Border Force Commander Lieutenant General Hamid Al-Husseini launched Operation named Martyrs Avenge.
The correspondent quoted Al-Husseini as saying the operation includes the Iraqi-Syrian border strip in Alwaleed triangle, noting that three military formations participated in the operation, namely, the Border Forces Command, the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi Army with the Air support.
