MOFA: Providing urgent response to the stranded in Lithuania and Latvia

Ministry of Foreign Affairs – MOFA confirmed that diplomatic delegations will provide an urgent response to the stranded in Lithuania and Latvia.

"The diplomatic delegations of MOFA will provide an urgent response to the stranded in Lithuania and Latvia," said the Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Al-Sahaf noted that "the ministry aims for a voluntary return of Iraqis, providing humanitarian support, and facilitating the granting of transit passports,”

"Coordination is high with the authorities in Latvia and Lithuania, and we are following up on the safety of Iraqis in various locations," he added.
